Violence and abuses against women inside and outside family

ISTAT presents results from a new survey, fully dedicated, for the first time, to physical and sexual violence against women (Istat already collected data on sexual harassment and sexual violence in 1997 and then in 2002, in the context of the victimisation survey “The citizens safety survey”). The sample includes 25 thousand women aged between 16 and 70, telephone interviewed, widespread in all the country, from January to October 2006.
